Licensed Asbestos Removal

Safe, compliant asbestos removal by directly employed operatives. HSE licensed. Domestic, commercial, and industrial properties across the UK.

Why Licensing Matters

HSE Licensed Asbestos Removal - What That Means for You

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR2012), most asbestos removal work is classified as licensable work - meaning it can only be carried out by a contractor holding a valid licence issued by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Safeline Environmental holds the HSE asbestos removal licence at the highest available level - a 3-year gold standard licence. This can be verified directly with the HSE. Hiring an unlicensed contractor is a criminal offence and can expose you, as a property owner or employer, to serious legal liability.

All our operatives are directly employed by Safeline. No agency labour. No subcontracting. This means consistent standards, clear accountability, and full compliance on every job, every time.

What types of asbestos do we remove?

We remove all types of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), including:

  • Asbestos insulation board (AIB)
  • Sprayed asbestos coatings
  • Lagging on pipes and boilers
  • Asbestos cement (corrugated roofing, panels, flues)
  • Floor tiles and textured coatings (Artex)
  • Gaskets, rope, and other asbestos composites

How It Works

Our Removal Process

Every asbestos removal project follows the same rigorous process - from initial survey to digital sign-off.

  1. Survey & Assessment

Before any removal work begins, our qualified surveyors identify and assess all asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). This informs the removal specification and risk assessment.

  2. Risk Assessment & Method Statement

We produce a full RAMS document for every project - reviewed and agreed before work commences. On-site copies are available for inspection at all times.

  3. Enclosure & Preparation

Our operatives erect negative pressure enclosures where required, with appropriate airlocks and decontamination units, to contain the work area fully.

  4. Licensed Removal

All licensable asbestos is removed by our directly employed, fully trained operatives under strict safe working procedures using appropriate PPE and RPE.

  5. Air Testing & Clearance

On completion, independent air testing is carried out to confirm fibre counts are below clearance levels - giving you documented proof the area is safe.

  6. Digital Completion File

You receive instant access to your complete digital compliance file - waste transfer notes, air test certificates, photographs, and all documentation in one place.
